Predictions can be tricky as predictors are so often visualising too far in the future, here's what we see down the line in these next 12 months
Looking into the culinary and hospitality crystal ball, predictions lists are everywhere in late December and early January but we often find they veer perilously overboard when it comes to predicting what’s coming. Think about it: it’s only 50 or so weeks ahead –– how much can the industry change in 12 months? Consider how slowly (or not) the industry may have changed since this time last year…
Trends predictions are really just jumping off an already established launch pad. They shouldn’t be plucked from obscurity just because you like the sound of them and are willing them into existence, they should be realistic expectations within the confines of the coming 12 months with the backing of what’s already transpired in the last twelve. With that said, you can’t argue we haven’t had a restaurant-filled 2023 as restaurant critics for the Sunday Times Ireland, so following the end of our first year in the role here’s 12 trends in food and hospitality we see helping shape the next 12 months…
